1. Devolopment of a method for parents of primary schoolchildren to teach parents parenting skills to obtain health gain in the family through videos and online feedback.

3. Development of an implementation guide together with VIGEZ as primary partner and in association with partner organisations on the field.
Suicidal behaviour, coping strategies and resilience among refugees in humanitarian settings in Northern Uganda Ghent University
The study seeks to examine the experiences of bereavement and recovery among family members and relatives of individuals with a history of suicidal behaviour in refugee settlements. The study will document risk and protective factors for suicide, coping strategies and resilience among survivors and (bereaved) family members, with the aim to improve suicide prevention and management in humanitarian settings.

The relation between parental feeding strategies and a childU+2019s eating behaviour and weight status Ghent University
The aim of this project is to examine specific parental feeding strategies in relation to a childU+2019s eating behavior and weight status. This project is made to go out to a clear definition of the concept of U+2018feeding controlU+2019by studying parental control in a domain and child-specific way (via sibling designs) and by using observations next to questionnaires.

Tempted by food or dedicated to health: a cross-cultural investigation of eating goals and behavior. Ghent University
A cross-cultural survey investigates how many and which type of people pursue a health-goal,
and how this relates to their BMI. Next, we examine when a self-control conflict most likely
arises: we study to what extent consumers associate unhealthy food with taste and whether
one pursues a health goal because one should vs wants to do this.
The fast-food generation: the role of sensitivity to reward in the hedonic eating behavior of adolescents Ghent University
Adolescents grow up in a society where fast-food is ubiquitous. Whereas some overeat and develop overweight, others are doing the exact opposite. This research is based on GrayU+2019s Reinforcement Sensitivity Theory and will examine how reward and punishment sensitivity relate to eating behavior/weight in 120 adolescents. Psychofysiologic, behavioral and self-report measures are used within experimental and longitudinal research.
The role of processes of interpersonal influence in family systems in understanding children's eating behavior Ghent University
Although parents most likely do influence children's eating behavior, research has failed to establish a solid relationship between parenting styles and children's eating habits. This project starts from a bidirectional mdoel and aims at mapping the complex dynamics of processes of interpersonal influence in families and their role in explaining children's eating behavior.
