A bioelectromagnetic software platform for computer-assisted transcranial magentic stimulation and conductivity estimation Ghent University
We study accurate methods for solving bioelectromagnetic problems numerically which can be coupled to TMS and MRI. More specific, we develop a software platform (1)to calculate the impact of present TMS stimulators on the neurological system; (2)to design more optimal TMS coil configurations; (3)to estimate patient-specific conductivity values of the different brain tissues using an MR-based technique IC-MREIT.
Selective Implementation of Software Resilience Techniques to Increase Low-Level Code Reliability KU Leuven
This PhD will investigate techniques to make embedded systems more resilient against external disturbances. While continuing previous PhD projects, further optimization and new techniques are necessary to cope with both processing and memory overhead. The major driver in this PhD is the balance of extra instructions versus execution time and memory overhead. Therefore, so called selective implementation of known techniques and new selective ...
DISSECT: Distributed Semantic software solutions for complex Service Composition KU Leuven
DiSSeCt wishes to design distributed semantic software solutions and algorithms that enable the continuous exchange of large data streams between partners in an ecosystem. By converting data into knowledge, and exchanging it in an intelligent, secure and dynamic way, personalized and context-sensitive services can be offered to end users.

Multi-functional 5G software defined radio testbed KU Leuven
The flexibility and ubiquity of wireless communication solutions played a very significant role in the tremendous growth of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PC's, and has as such been an important driver for technology breakthroughs in the last decade. With the trend towards smaller, cheaper and more energy-efficient communication devices, it is expected to continue doing so within the Future Internet and 5Gcommunication ...
Software Testing and Testing Education KU Leuven
Testing software is very important, but not done well, resulting in problematic and erroneous software applications. The underlying cause is a mismatch between what is needed in industry, the learning needs of students and the way testing is currently being taught in higher education courses. The ENACTEST research project will investigate cognitive models for learning testing, industry needs for testing skills and knowledge transfer ...

Software Architecture and Modules for Unified RAdio control Ghent University
SAMURAI main objective of the Project is to design, evaluate and optimize a software architecture for uniform radio control off-the-shelf wireless hardware and Software Defined Radio's (SDR), which also supports wireless network intelligence. This allows companies to: - reduce their (re) development costs by using a validated technology that adapts to the underlying hardware and enables reuse in different products. - unused functionality to ...
