Dividing costs of knowledge graph’s production and consumption among data producers and consumers through decentralization Ghent University
Knowledge graph production and consumption is a centralized task that lacks collaboration between data holders and consumers. Each tries to lower its own costs without taking into account other data holders or consumers. I will investigate how this task can be decentralized and optimally divide the costs among data holders and consumers through collaboration.
Decentralization and conflict resolution: an analysis of the Belgian case. Ghent University
Does decentralization fuel or pacify conflicts between ethnic groups? This study on a critical case (Belgium) uses time series to assess decentralization’s impact on (1) the policy disagreement between Flemish and Francophone elites (1978-2019) and (2) their negotiating and conflictresolving
capacity (1945-2019). We will also test whether this potential impact has been even more manifest after the 1995 milestone.

This research proposal studies the relations between decentralized politics and democratization by doing a comparative analysis in Amman ...
Decentralisation and conflict resolution: an analysis of the Belgian case Ghent University
Decentralisation, the transfer of power from the central state to the regions, is often seen as a way to pacify conflicts between ethnic groups in divided states. However, sceptics argue that decentralisation would rather add to the conflict. Research on this ongoing debate usually focusses on (amongst others) violent ethnic conflicts, or on the impact of decentralisation on separatism or regional identification. This is only part of the ...
