Ultradense and Ultrastable molecular glasses by molecular beam deposition. KU Leuven
Organic molecular beam deposition (OMBD) is a promising tool for the preparation of glasses with extraordinary high packing density, low enthalpy and low fictive temperature. In the recent years, several organic glass formers have been investigated with respect to their ability to form ultra-stable glasses (US-glass) by physical vapour deposition, among them, H-bonding systems like polyols showed exceptional USG properties.
