BACKGROUND: Gastroparesis is a chronic gastric disorder characterized by delayed gastric emptying without mechanical obstruction, and clinical symptoms as postprandial fullness, early satiety, bloating, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Prokinetic agents are used for the treatment of gastroparesis.
