Multidimensional decay in the van der Corput lemma Universiteit Gent
We establish a multidimensional decay of oscillatory integrals with degenerate stationary points, gaining the decay with respect to all space variables. This bridges the gap between the one-dimensional decay for degenerate stationary points given by the classical van der Corput lemma and the multidimensional decay for non-degenerate stationary points given by the stationary phase method. Complex-valued phase functions as well as phases and ...
Selective synthesis of 2-ethoxy alkanes through ethoxylation of 1-alkenes with bioethanol over zeolite beta catalyst in a liquid phase continuous process KU Leuven
1-Hexene was ethoxylated with ethanol and ethanol-water mixtures mimicking bioethanol in a liquid phase, continuous flow process over a fixed bed of zeolite beta catalyst at a reaction temperature of 423 K and a pressure of 6 MPa. The selectivity for ethoxy alkanes on a hexene basis exceeded 90%. GC-MS, H-1 & C-13-NMR and C-13 DEPT NMR confirmed the main reaction products to be 2-ethoxy hexane and 3-ethoxy hexane in molar ratio 20 : 1. Side ...

Efficient computation of microphone utility in a wireless acoustic sensor network with multi-channel wiener filter based noise reduction KU Leuven
A wireless acoustic sensor network is considered with spatially distributed microphones which observe a desired speech signal that has been corrupted by noise. In order to reduce the noise the signals are sent to a fusion center where they are processed with a centralized rank-1 multi-channel Wiener filter (R1-MWF). The goal of this work is to efficiently compute an assessment of the contribution of each individual microphone with respect to ...
