Dacrymyces olivei sp. nov., een dubbelganger van D. stillatus

Tijdschriftbijdrage - Tijdschriftartikel

Description of a new species of Dacrymyces, macroscopically similar to D. stillatus but with mainly triseptate basidiospores up to 22 μm long, with average length of 16 μm and 4-9% multiseptate spores with up to 7 septa. The species is probably identic to D. abietinus var. triseptata L.S. Olive. The latter taxon has no type specimen and was erroneously accepted as a synonym of D. stillatus. However, L.S. Olive conceived it as a variety of D. abietinus sensu Schroeter, a species with clamps today known as D. variisporus, and not as a variety of D. abietinus sensu Persoon, today known as D. stillatus. Because of the lack of clamps, it is not considered a variety of D. variisporus but treated as a separate species, Dacrymyces olivei sp. nov.
