Series-Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicles

The state of the art of the Series-Parallel HEVs will be presented. In this article, a comprehensive review on their powertrain and power management strategy is provided. Moreover, this article presents the different transmission systems (such as mechanical coupling and magnetic coupling). The benefits and the drawbacks of the Series-Parallel HEVs are presented.
