Automatic brain atlas in magnetic resonance image for focal cortical dysplasia patients

Boekbijdrage - Boekabstract Conferentiebijdrage

Brain tissues including cerebellum, thalamus, brain stem, striatum have increased Gray Matter thickness, an important feature of Focal Cortical Dysplasia (FCD) lesions in Magnetic Resonance Images. However, these tissues are not related to FCD lesions. To reduce the False Positive regions in FCD detection, we propose to automatically generate a brain atlas for every FCD patient. As a result, the brain tissues are successfully located without overlaping the FCD regions.Brain tissues including cerebellum, thalamus, brain stem, striatum have increased Gray Matter thickness, an important feature of Focal Cortical Dysplasia (FCD) lesions in Magnetic Resonance Images.
