Artificial porous pozzolanic materials for mitigation of hte autogenous shrinkage cracking o high performance concrete. Ghent University
The goal of this research is to radically mitigrate the autogenous shrinkage cracking of high performance concrete and ultra high performance concrete by a novel technology. this technology consist of the production of an artifial pozzaolanic porous material (APPM) for which the properties of controlled internal pore size wit high water absorption, and the pozzolanic properties are essentieal.

A professorship granted by the Special Research Fund is a primarily research-oriented position and is made available for excellent researchers with a high-quality research programme.
Development of porous polymer materials using the BioplotterTM technology for cardiovascular diseases Ghent University
The aim of the project is to apply the Bioplotter TM rapid prototyping technology to develop a series of perfectly interconnecting polymer materials. The materials are intended to be applied in the field of myocardium regeneration for patients suffering from a myocardial infarct. During the project, both synthetic and biopolymers will be evaluated and compared.
