City Symphonies: Urban Modernity, Film, and Avant-Garde (1920-1940) Ghent University
Study about the city symphony, a film genre of the inter-war period that combines aspects of the feature film, documentary, and experimental cinema. The genre is closely connected to metropolitan modernity as well as the art of contemporaneous avant-garde currents.

Image projectors for meeting rooms and cinema projection exist in many sizes. Small projectors are amply available, but for larger rooms, stronger projectors (5000-1000 lumen) are required. This projects investigates the possibilities to realize such projectors using a single blue laser, combined with luminescent materials to obtain green and red light.
