Postdramatic Aesthetics: Word - Sound - Image Ghent University
In POstdramatisches Theater (1999), Hans-Thies Lehmann analyzed the ruins of classical dramatic aesthetics. New possiblities were created for the autonomous functioning of word, image and sound in signifying structures. These possibilities are investigated in the field of artistic, practise-based research and within the field of performance studies, in a mutual dialogue.

Expanding the Notion of Trauma Narration: An Interdisciplinary Research intoPost-Narrative Modes of Trauma Recovery in Transcultural TraumaPsychology and Theatre Studies Ghent University
This study focuses on the blurring of the linearity between narration and trauma recovery, which forms the topic of theoretical developments in both transcultural trauma psychology and theatre studies. This interdisciplinary study develops an empirical inquiry into post-narrative modes of a postdramatic aesthetic in applied theatre, aiming to further the understanding of trauma recovery shaped by coping strategies beyond narration.
Antigone in/as Transition. A Study on the Performing Arts Status Quo in Europe (in its Transcontinental Contexts) Ghent University
Antigone in/as Transitions will provide a systematic and comparative analysis of six representative Antigone-performances in Europe and beyond (Turkey, Latin America). Through these performance analyses, the project will provide an investigation of the state of the art of European contemporary performing arts in some of their transcontinental contexts.
