This project investigates the impact of social media on news in the Flemish public sphere by examing (1) inter-media agenda-setting relations between traditional and new media; (2) how social media is treated as source of information in mainstream news stories (and vice versa) and (3) how journalists assess and process social media as a source in their news stories.
