Our study addresses the question how the endometrium’s functionality is aberrant in CF as compared to healthy fertile women, in order to unravel mechanisms underlying lower pregnancy success in female CF patients. Moreover, it becomes imperative to know and decode the effect of the increasingly used, revolutionizing new-era CF drugs (CFTR modulators) on this prime reproductive organ, with impact on the female patients’ (in)fertility.
