Project

Exoskeletons and active orthoses: Robotic systems for augmented human motion.

The aim of the project is to set up a solid basis for establishing a knowledge platform concerning exoskeletons and active orthoses with the knowledge centers within the K.U.Leuven Association and SME's. An inventory will be made of existing systems, expertise within the K.U.Leuven Association and within companies, the clinical needs and possible applications of these systems. A concept study will be made concerning the opportunities of applications based on the well-founded list of needs. A knowledge platform will be formed.
