On the cell biology of retroviral integration.
Retroviruses employ cellular proteins during nuclear import and integration. These proteins are referred to as cofactors. Here we would like to identify, validate and understand cofactors of retroviral nuclear import and integration. In case of HIV these cofactors can serve as targets for developing new anti-HIV agents.
