To assess the role played by the endogenous hormone balance on developmental processes, physiological responses are studied of plants, that has been genetically transformed and are characterized by an increased or decreased endogenous cytokinin content. Several plants, each characterized by a specific transformed genetic construction are used. The effect of the transformation (cytokinine- and CKX-plants) is studied on plant development, ...

The IRIS RESEARCH GROUP was founded in December 21, 1988. Image/video processing and machine vision always have been and remain central research activities. Our motivation is to stay ahead of the obvious R&D tendencies, which drives us towards in depth fundamental research. Our mission statement is to impact on the transformation processes of the knowledge society, which keeps us alert to continuously update our strategic R&D agenda ...

Our research is aimed at better understanding of the VWF/ADAMTS13/platelet axis in hemostatic, thrombotic and inflammatory processes. We use various in vivo models, combined with intravital microscopy to study molecular and cellular interactions. In particular, we focus on designing novel therapeutic strategies that interfere with von Willebrand factor function for treatment of thrombo-inflammatory disease.
