U+201CLa Révolution des TempsU+201D: revolutionary languages and politics of time in the Austrian Netherlands and the Dutch Republic (1780-1790) (01D35314)

This project will study chronopolitics in the political languages of the pamphlets and the opinion press in the Austrian Netherlands and the Dutch Republic (1780-1790). We define U+201CchronopoliticsU+201D as the relation between perspectives on time and their impact on political discours and policy-making. A study of this U+201Cpolitics of timeU+201D will yield new insight in the political culture and intellectual history of the Low Countries.
