Sustainable control of cabbage fly
The main objective of this project is the implementation of a sustainable control strategy for cabbage fly with a focus on the optimal use of natural pest control and the application of preventive cultivation-technical measures. In this way, the disappearance of insecticides is partly intercepted and the further use of insecticides is reduced. In order to achieve this, there is a strong focus on education, demonstration and communication in this project.
The main objective will be achieved through 5 sub-objectives:
* Inventory of the cabbage fly - natural enemy complex and their phenology in cabbage crops.
* Validation in pratice of 'intercropping' as a measure to stimulate natural enemies.
* Validation in pratice of the introduction strategies of natural enemies.
* Validation in pratice of preventative cultivation-technical measures to prevent oviposition and hatching of eggs.
* Demonstration and education on sustainable pest management in cabbage cultivation.
