Supporting inclusive and sustainable value chains: Production and marketing of safe vegetables in Vietnam.

Vegetable value chains in Vietnam are characterized by unsustainable production practices and unstable selling agreements between farmers and companies. In order to support the production and marketing of safe vegetables in Vietnam and to foster consumers’ access to reliable safe food, we evaluate the requirements of companies to purchase safe vegetables from farmers, and assess under which conditions farmers are willing to produce safe vegetables and to supply to companies. Through a  qualitative and quantitative data collection, including a choice experiment, we will analyze and outline how the business relationships between farmers and companies can be improved.
