Nutrient-mediated modulation of the oral microbiology

This project will identify the nutritional sources that can be used by specific bacteria and how certain bacteria can outgrow and start dominating a microbial community (identifying metabolic networks). Secondly, this project comprehends the nutritional stimulation of beneficial bacteria in multi-species environments in order to shift the microbial community to a composition which resembles more to a health associated microbiological composition (interacting with metabolic networks).
