The New European Financial Architecture for Development: Financialization of EU Aid?

The European Union (EU) is reforming its Financial Architecture for Development, turning to new financial instruments. This PhD examines the extent to which EU aid is "financialized" by (1) designing an operationalizable theoretical framework and (2) applying it to EU aid policies in Europe and Africa. It concerns a mixed method, qualitative study of four empirical studies.
