Man and landscape in prehistory: the story of a "drowned" encampment in the Flemish Scheldt Valley

Following the planned large-scale excavation of a unique prehistoric site to Kerkhove the research Prehistory wishes of the department with its spin-off Gate seize the opportunity to archeology in general and prehistory particularly in Flanders to a broader audience views to make. The project aims to translate both the methodological (excavation and analysis) and substantive / scientific aspects of the excavation to a wide audience. Depending on the target proposed various public activities. Audience 1 (interested and neighbors) mainly work with a comprehensive interactive website, open slots days and a public book. Target Group 2 (children and youth) will be approached mainly through projects in schools and youth camps. Target Group 3 (passers and neighbors) will finally be particularly informed by information boards.
