Joint Radar and Communications in Distributed MIMO Systems

The project is based on the observation that radar and communication systems share many similarities in terms of hardware and software, which poses the question: can massive MIMO systems, intended for communications, be reconfigured for the task of localization and imaging? The purpose of this thesis is to investigate topics such as system design aspects and signal processing schemes in the objective of jointly operating high performance radar systems and communication systems.
