The energy absorption assessment of composite structures for protection of civil engineering structures against blast loading

In this project, the energy absorption behaviour of composite structures is studied under blast loading. Composite tubes are placed in between two fire-resistant glass/IPC face sheets. The skins transfer the shock wave to the tubes that absorb the energy. Both laboratory and full-scale explosion tests will be done.
