Dynamic control interactions in future electric power systems with a high penetration of power electronics

Power electronics are considered as crucial technology for the energy transition as they offer a new possibilities contribute to the stable operation of the power system. At the same time, however, their technical characteristics are substantially different from those of conventional power systems. This research project focuses on modelling and control of power electronics in the future electricity system in order to develop a better understanding of new types of unwanted system interactions, and to provide control solutions to mitigate these problems.
