Project

Development of in vitro and in vivo models for efficacy and safety testing of mycotoxin detoxifying agents

The in vitro models concern cytotoxicity and permeability studies using intestinal cell cultures and intestinal explants. The in vivo modelling is mainly based on toxicokinetical studies in pigs and poultry. Both efficacy, mycotoxin binding or biotransforming ability, and safety, interaction with drug absorption, is of interest.
