Developing new guidelines for the delineation of the lymphatic system to optimize radiation therapy planning in the novel prone crawl position for breast cancer treatment

By using CT and MRI imaging of Thiel embalmed human bodies we will create a new delineation guideline for lymph node areas in the novel prone crawl position that is used for breast cancer radiation therapy. Anatomical dissection following scannings will ensure additional validation. The new guidelines will enable more accurate radiation therapy planning and reduce radiation-induced side effects.
