Defeating Doom with History: Syriac historiography of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries

An analysis of the structure and sources of the Anonymous Syriac Chronicle up to the Year 1234, in relation to the other Syriac historiographical achievements of this period, will provide new insights into the structure of this work, which has never been studied in its entirety, and the methodology of its author.
