Dealing with the past in a political transformation process. The past relationship in Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic: 1989/91-2004.

This project aims at the analysis of the past relationship in Central and Eastern Europe after 1989: the interest in certain periods and themes, the indifference to other ones, the perception and representation of the past, and the new concepts of national history. This will be done forsome countries showing clear differences (Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia andthe Czech republic), in the hope that this divergence will inform by what this past relationship has been influenced.
