Project

Bacterial and host factors involved in gastric colonization and induction of lesions by Helicobacter suis and Helicobacter heilmannii

The aims of this project are to investigate how non-Helicobacter pylori helicobacters colonize and damage the stomach of animals and humans. To achieve this, bacterial factors involved in colonization of the gastric mucosa, induction of host cell death and modulation of the host immune response will be characterized. The aims of this project are to investigate how non-Helicobacter pylori helicobacters colonize and damage the stomach of animals and humans.
