Development of a CRISPR-Cas12 LAMP-based lateral flow test for the detection of Trypanosoma evansi and Trypanosoma equiperdum infections

Animal Trypanosomosis is a worldwide parasitic infection. With no vaccines or prophylactic drugs available to prevent AT spread, efficient diagnosis of infected animals is crucial. For Europe, this is
particularly the case for detection of T. evansi and T. equiperdum in important livestock. Here, we propose a CRISPR-Cas12 LAMP-based lateral flow test design, greatly improving accuracy of current diagnostic methods.
