Investigate the regulation of ZEB1/2 protein stability using an siRNA library screening
ZEB proteins are essential transcriptional factors involved in various pathological conditions. Modulation of their up/downstream functions have been proposed to be a good basis for development of new/improved therapies for the treatment of aggressive subtypes of cancer, immunological disorders and/or stimulation of tissue repair. Here, we will identify the molecular mechanisms that regulate the ZEB protein stability via a siRNA library screening. The optimized screening system will be a proof of principle to perform a similar screening to find compounds that either induce stability/degradation of ZEB proteins.
