Recruiting human capital: New directions in word-of-mouth research

This project aims to break new ground regarding our understanding of word-of-mouth as a recruitment source by examining (1) what motivates people to spread word-of-mouth and how word-of-mouth can be stimulated by organizational recruitment practices, (2) the conditions under which word-of-mouth is most influential, and (3) the processes through which word-of-mouth exerts its effects on pre-hire and post-hire recruitment outcomes.
