Project

High efficiency, High Speed Electrical Drivers

Rising costs for energy have caused an increase in demand for energy efficiency engines. As a result of the demand for a reduction of the volume and (thus) weight, high speed machines are chosen. Finally, the engines must be available at a low cost. This project will investigate the impact of iron losses using electromagnetic and magnetomechanical models of various thin slats and structures including detailed design aspects such as lamppost stacking and stator construction.
