The effect of psychosocial job resources on the cardiac autonomic regulation associated with occupational physical activity

This observational field study aims to examine the cardiac autonomic regulation response associated with occupational physical activities, and to investigate the moderating effect of favorable psychosocial job resources on these mechanisms. The study protocol includes questionnaire assessments, medical screenings and ambulatory 48-hour registrations of physical activity, heart rate and heart rate variability in a sample of 700 employees.
