Research into mechanisms of neutrophilic asthma.

In this project we plan to unravel the differences in origin of early-onset eosinophilic asthma and late-onset eosinophilic asthma. Here we will not only evaluate a potential role for microRNAs but also the relative contribution of the recently identified innate lymphoid cells type 2, which have been hypothesized to be crucial in steroid-resistant eosinophilic asthma.
