Provincial meetings in the Roman West. A study of the socio-economic impact of concilia on Gallia, Germania and Brittania (12B.C. - A.D. 284). (12B.C. - A.D. 284)

The distribution and extensive organisation of the Roman provincial assemblies suggest that their influence extended beyond institutional or political aspects. I suppose they formed powerful platforms for the development of provincial networks, resulting in stronger contacts between the cities participating in the assembly and people from there. I focus on the socio-economic aspects of these meetings.
