Project

Development and evaluation of an intervention to stimulate active living in recently retired adults

This project will develop, implement and evaluate a feasible intervention to stimulate recently retired adults to develop a healthy lifestyle, with sufficient physical activity and limited sitting time. After identifying the critical correlates of these behaviors by conducting focus groups and an observational study, a multidimensional intervention will be developed and

implemented. Short- (3 months) and long-term (12 months) intervention effects will be examined.
