Project

Development of a virtual simulation environment for the biomechanical study of minimally invasive treatment of carotid stenosis

The main goal of the research is to develop a framework that allows for realistic computer simulation of endovascular procedures in presence of an embolic protection filter device in a 3D model of the carotid vascular territory, including blood flow and realistic mechanical vascular wall behaviour.
