Unravelling the architecture of cognitive control: Are there multiple conflict-control loops in the brain?

We explore the cognitive and neural architecture of cognitive control. In a first line of behavioral research, we explore potential interactions between known cognitive control phenomena from the literature; interactions will be interpreted as indicating a shared underlying mechanism. In a second line of research, the link between various cognitive control processes is further explored with fMRI and TMS.
