Method and system for processing an image to detect lanes marked on a road

A system and a method for processing an image (IMG) of a road so as to detect a lane marked on the road and visible on the image, comprising: inputting (SOI) the image to a neural network trained to deliver a weight value for each pixel of the image so as to form a weight map (WM) associated with the lane, performing (S02), using a differentiable module, a least-squares fitting of a curve associated with curve parameters, using the weight map and a coordinates map (CM) indicating the coordinates of each weight of the weight map, so as to obtain the curve parameters.
