Project

PV4Industry4.0 (R-12754)

In the field of Integrated PV, Flanders/Belgium has a broad and lively industrial ecosystem ranging from materials and equipment suppliers to production companies and installation companies. The analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of this ecosystem indicates that it is important to offer these product/service providers a technology and analysis forum where, in addition to technological support, an ecosystem can also be created where these players can find each other for alignment and collaborations. The investments in this project proposal are crucial for raising the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) level of these new technologies to serve the wide range of players in this value chain and to maintain the leadership position of to strengthen Flanders in this sector. This includes both investments to further expand the process technology for flexible production of PV modules and the further development of an advanced analysis park where the materials/products of the many players in this value chain could be tested. It should be noted that this does not always have to be limited to PV products; Related products such as "functional glass" can also be built in this infrastructure and tested for performance and reliability
