Transdisciplinary coproduction of sustainability education - TRANSPOSE

The aim of this project is to gain insight in how educational researchers, sustainability content experts, and educational practitioners can fruitfully collaborate to coproduce high-quality sustainability education (SE). Through action research, we empirically investigate how such transdisciplinary coproduction can be designed and facilitated and what are the enabling conditions for it to contribute to better SE. Both the coproduction settings and the teaching and learning activities resulting from these are the object of study. As such, our empirical focus encompasses the preparation and design of SE practices as well as their actual performance. Theoretically and methodologically, the project draws on didactic theory and analytical methods inspired by transactional pragmatism.

The action research is embedded in the internationally networked  research environment TePlab - Laboratory for Teaching Practice, and will be conducted in collaboration with prof. Leif Östman.
