Electrical resistivity tomography to improve the accuracy of transpiration measurements in urban trees

To design blue-green infrastructure and to supply sufficient water to urban green, accurate tree transpiration measurements are crucial. This PhD proposal will increase the accuracy of state-of-the-art methodology by complementing sap flow sensors with electrical resistivity tomography. Moreover, novel insight will be gained into tree water relations in an urban environment and into urban tree responses to drought stress.
