Kilim as a Visual Medium for Contemporary Social-Cultural Concerns: an Artistic Participatory Research with Women Artisans in Iran.

<p>The research explores the agency of traditional rug weavers in northern Iran. The central methodology of collecting data and producing knowledge is based on collaborative rug design and production with the research participants. This practice research reflects on the ethics of representation of the craftswomen and their material culture in Iran and in the world.</p>
