The assessment of the health and socio-economic impact of cystic echinococcosis in Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region (Ethiopia) within the One Health Concept.

Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is considered as one of the five most important zoonotic diseases in Ethiopia. Using a One Health approach, the study will provide in-depth epidemiological information on CE in Ethiopia. This will contribute to a better understanding of the transmission and the burden of the disease. Furthermore, the study will guide further studies, and national and global intervention plans.
