Exploring the reciprocal crosstalk between the vasculature in cancer to improve immunotherapy

The overarching goal of this proposal is to reveal the mechanistic underpinnings of resistance during antiangiogenic immunotherapy that reverts tumors to an immunosuppressive and angiogenic phenotype. Functional changes of the vascular and immune landscape in responding versus relapsing tumors will be explored using spatial single-cell gene expression profiling and multiplex analysis combined with a comprehensive analysis of histopathological, molecular and functional parameters.
