Cut-and-paste chemistry: from circular plastics to immunotherapeutics

Chemistry enables innovation by building new useful molecules. This requires the controlled formation of new bonds. A more challenging task is the cleavage of specific bonds within complex (macro)molecules. In this concerted research action, new platform chemistries for controlled, on-demand bonding and debonding applications will be explored and developed for their
potential in rational material design and therapeutics.
