Design, development and maintenance of securely embedded devices.

Situation:

In this project, we provide developers of new and existing embedded systems with the tools, guidelines and know-how to build embedded devices with adequate security throughout the life of the product. It is essential to protect our companies, industry and our society and to respond to the growing cybersecurity challenges.

Targets:

• gain insight into contemporary attacks, common vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
• provide the know-how and tools to identify vulnerabilities of existing devices and assess their impact.
• provide methodologies and steps to achieve effective security management, ranging from the security-by-design principle to monitoring the security of products even after sales.
• guidelines and techniques are also set up specifically for existing systems:
  • to protect it from more sophisticated attacks
  • to create opportunities to deploy the devices in more hostile environments.
